Trail to Recovery Announces the 222 for the 22 Ride.

This Memorial Day weekend, Trail to Recovery is bringing veterans, supporters, and the 4x4 community together for a ride with a purpose.

On Saturday, May 23, we’ll be hosting the 222 for the 22 Ride, a 222-mile convoy across Virginia to raise awareness for veteran suicide.

The heart behind this ride is simple: 22 is too many.

We’ll be riding from Richmond to Lynchburg, with planned stops along the way for fuel, regrouping, and moments of reflection. This is not a race, and it is not an off-road trail ride. It’s a paved-road community convoy meant to bring people together, honor those we’ve lost, and remind one another that no one has to carry the weight alone.

Trail to Recovery is hosting the ride in affiliation with Mission 22, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans and raising awareness around veteran suicide.

Why 222 Miles?

The 222-mile route represents 222 miles for the 22 veterans who commit suicide every single day.

We ride to remember those who lost their fight.

And we remember to support those who are still fighting.

It’s about showing up.

Whether someone joins for the full route or meets us at one of the stops, the purpose stays the same. We’re coming together as a community to honor, reflect, and raise awareness for something that affects far too many families.
