T2R-01
Multi-day camping events in Virginia's backcountry, no agenda, no clipboards.
CAMP OUTS
ACTIVE
Multi-day camping events in the backcountry of Virginia and surrounding areas, away from screens, waiting rooms, and noise. We keep groups small and intentional. Veterans, active duty, and first responders show up as themselves. No agenda. No clipboards. Just terrain, a campfire, and people who get it.
PROGRAM ELEMENTS

- George Washington National Forest and surrounding areas
- Small groups (10 participants max)
- Meals and supplies provided
- On-site medic support
- Open to veterans, active duty, and first responders

T2R-02
Group trail rides through Virginia's backcountry. Stock or built, if it rolls, it qualifies.
OFF-ROAD TRAIL RIDES
ACTIVE
Off-roading demands just enough focus to quiet everything else down, which turns out to be exactly what a lot of people need. T2R connects veterans, active duty, and first responders with group trail riding opportunities through Virginia's backcountry. All rigs welcome. Stock or built, if it rolls, it qualifies.
PROGRAM ELEMENTS
- Group trail riding opportunities in Virginia and surrounding region
- All experience levels and vehicle builds welcome
- Overlanding and day run formats
- Often combined with camping elements for multi-day outings

T2R-03
A low-barrier entry point: grab a cup, no agenda, no clipboard, rotating locations across Virginia.
COFFEE & CAMARADERIE
LAUNCHING SOON
Not everyone is ready to spend a weekend in the woods, and that's fine. Coffee and Camaraderie is Trail to Recovery's low-barrier entry point: a casual, no-pressure meetup where veterans, first responders, and active duty can show up, grab a cup, and be around people who understand without anyone making a production of it. No agenda. No icebreakers. No clipboard.
PROGRAM ELEMENTS
- Informal local meetups
- No registration required
- Open to all who have served or responded
- Rotating locations across Virginia
T2R-04
T2R's mission beyond the trailhead: taking the message to communities across Virginia and beyond.
COMMUNITY EVENTS
ACTIVE
Recovery doesn't stop at the trailhead. T2R extends its mission into the community through appearances and events that connect, equip, and rally support for veterans, active duty, and first responders.
INITIATIVE 01
ODYSSEYFEST
A community gathering hosted at American Legion Post 16 in Lynchburg, VA, taking T2R's mission off the trail and putting it in front of a room full of people ready to support it.
INITIATIVE 02
OVERLAND EXPO EAST
T2R takes the mission on the road with a bivvy session and roundtable at one of the largest overlanding gatherings on the East Coast, putting our programs in front of a national audience of outdoor enthusiasts.
INITIATIVE 03
MISSION UWHARRIE
A multi-day expo appearance in Troy, NC, connecting T2R with veterans, first responders, and outdoor communities well beyond Virginia's borders.
